Job summary

Lifemark Seniors Wellness in Stayner, ON is hiring a Permanent Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to join our growing team.

You will assist the supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in LTC, perform gait and balance training, and help deliver therapeutic group exercises while keeping equipment prepared and areas safe.

Qualifications include PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology; LTC experience is an asset, plus a valid Vulnerable Sector check and TB clearance.

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or similar healthcare background.
• Previous LTC experience is an asset.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening check (within 6 months).
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents.
• Perform gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion and strengthening.
• Deliver dynamic group exercise classes for residents.
• Set up and prepare equipment; clean up after treatments.
• Ensure resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy.
• Record daily treatments in the web-based system and communicate changes to the physiotherapist.
