Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. seeks a senior geotechnical engineer to lead design and project management for major infrastructure and building projects in Canada.

You will prepare technical reports, review calculations, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across departments while mentoring junior staff. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Geological/Mining Engineering, 10+ years in geotechnical work, OIQ membership, and proficiency with GeoStudio, Settle3, and CPeT‑IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering.
• Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering is an asset.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering (investigation).
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) for at least 5 years.
• Proficiency with commonly used geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Settle3, and CPeT‑IT.
• PMP certification or CAPM within six months is a condition if not PMP certified.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering for buildings, foundations, slope stability, etc.
• ASP Construction safety card possession and valid driver’s license.
• Bilingualism French and English.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the geotechnical design of projects.
• Lead the administrative management of projects.
• Lead the preparation of professional service proposals.
• Perform and review geotechnical calculations and numerical modelling.
• Lead the preparation of technical reports.
• Collaborate with other departments and services.
