Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for tackling challenges head-on? This is your invitation to join a hard rock mining operation in Ontario as an open pit Geotechnical Engineer. Working closely with other experts on the engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing the stability and efficiency of our open pit operations.

THE COMPANY

In this role, your expertise will be pivotal in conducting thorough geotechnical assessments of the open pit operations. You'll contribute to the design and implementation of slope stability measures, ensuring the safety of the mining activities. Your keen eye for detail will be invaluable in monitoring pit walls, collecting and analyzing geotechnical data, and providing actionable insights to enhance the operational strategies of the team. Your contributions will shape short-term and long-term mine plans, influence bench designs, and guide overall operational decision-making to ensure optimal productivity and safety.

THE PERSON

To excel in this role, you'll hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field. You should bring a proven track record of at least four years in geotechnical engineering, ideally within open pit hard rock mining operations.

You will have a deep understanding of the unique challenges posed by open pit environments and their geological complexities in challenging operational conditions.
