Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Training - Open Pit for the Island Gold District in Dubreuilville, ON. The role focuses on stability of facilities, earthworks, and structures to ensure safe, efficient operation in a camp setting.

You will inspect pits and infrastructure, analyze stability data, and coordinate monitoring programs. A civil/mining degree and progress toward P.Eng are required, with Deswik/Minesight/Promine proficiency welcomed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, or mining engineering.
• Working towards P.Eng registration with the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring instrumentation or field services is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect open pits, underground excavations, dikes, dams, and other critical infrastructure.
• Analyze data to assess stability and take corrective action.
• Coordinate geotechnical and hydrogeological monitoring programs and ensure instrumentation is maintained.
• Ensure instrumentation and geotechnical systems are utilized efficiently.
• Assist in designing and planning future capital construction projects.
• Direct and monitor construction activities per designs, safety standards, timelines and costs.
• Prepare internal and external status reports, summaries, analyses, and communications.
• Provide knowledge and support to resolve geotechnical issues as needed.
• Expand knowledge through continued professional development.
