Job summary

Geotech Drilling, a proud member of ConeTec Group, is seeking a field-ready driller helper in Prince George, BC. You will support drilling operations by preparing tooling, handling drill rods and core samples, and keeping inventory organized in a rugged field environment.

Candidates should have 1-3 years in geotechnical or environmental drilling, a valid Class 5 or 3 driver's licence, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid Class 5 or 3 Driver's Licence.
• 1–3 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset.
• Pass pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
• Experience working in the field, in remote and varied weather conditions for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials necessary to maintain the drilling operations.
• Handle drill rods and casing, core tubes and core samples.
• Maintain and organize inventory levels of necessary materials, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
• Assist the Driller, client and other team members where required.
• Regular and repetitive lifts of 50-90 lbs.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Experience / Qualifications

• Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 or 3 Driver's Licence.
• Have 1-3 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset.
• Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment an asset.
• Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
• Have experience working in the field, in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Compensation

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
