Job summary

Ensero Solutions is seeking an Intermediate Geoscientist to support geochemical characterization and water quality studies across multiple Canadian offices and remote work. Reporting to the Director of Geosciences, you will contribute to field and office-based projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, chemistry, environmental science or engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant mining, exploration or environmental consulting experience.
• P.Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility is an asset.
• Experience with geochemical modelling and data interpretation is preferred.
• Familiarity with PHREEQC and geoscience software tools is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Intermediate Geoscientist

Reporting to the Director of Geosciences, the Geoscientist II is responsible for providing technical input in their area of expertise, supporting geochemical characterization and water quality studies through field and office-based work.

About The Role

• Design, conduct, and report on geochemical and water quality studies;
• Manage large datasets;
• Develop geochemical source terms for water quality models;
• Conduct fieldwork at remote sites;
• Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise;
• Technical communications, including report writing and reviewing;
• Develop and coordinate project specific work plans and assist in proposal development;
• Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals;
• Interact and liaise with clients, government regulators, and other project stakeholders;
• Manage special projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding company;
• Mentors junior staff; and
• All other related duties as required

About You

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related science (geology, chemistry, environmental science, or engineering)

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in mining, mineral exploration, or environmental consulting;
• P.Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility is an asset;
• ARD/ML and geochemical characterization experience is an asset;
• Familiarity with geochemical modelling (e.g., PHREEQC) is an asset;
• Experience using Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS, and/or QGIS is an asset;
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; and
• Excellent written and oral communication
