We are currently looking for a full-time Geomatics Technologist reporting for duty at our Calgary office location.

In this role, you will be responsible for survey computations and plan preparation for construction and legal surveys. The Geomatics Technologist plays an essential role in the successful execution of client projects through the use of various field and office resources. Your duties will include and are not limited to:

• Reviewing all relevant project-related documentation and having a basic understanding of project workflows.
• Providing clear and direct communication when interacting with field crews, drafting staff, project managers, and land surveyors.
• Carrying out all types of survey data reduction and survey plan calculations while maintaining proper involvement of the Project Manager / Land Surveyor.
• Following proper plan checking guidelines, including proper storage and markup requirements.

• Degree or Diploma in Geomatics from a recognized technical school or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Geomatics Technician, or related position.
• A working knowledge of how GPS and total stations are used in the collection of survey data.
• Proficient in the use of survey software, including MicroSurvey.
