McElhanney Ltd. is seeking a Geomatics / Survey New Graduate to launch their career in Terrace, BC.

You’ll gain hands-on field and office experience, supporting survey and geomatics work on diverse projects across Northwest BC, working with experienced professionals to build practical skills and contribute to infrastructure development. Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Geomatics Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or related program.
• Genuine interest in field-based, hands-on work.
• Physical ability to work on active sites and lift equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in sometimes remote environments.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
• Previous outdoor or land development experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support field crews using GNSS receivers for RTK, static measurements, and total stations.
• Work with Project Managers to prepare survey files, plans, and data for delivery.
• Research plans, titles, records, and other geospatial information.
• Maintain, monitor, and report on survey equipment and vehicles.
• Work across field and office environments on municipal, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Learn and operate drones, 3D laser scanning, and unmanned survey equipment.
