Job summary

McElhanney Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager to lead engineering and construction survey projects in Northwest BC (Prince Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat).

You will coordinate internal and client teams, define scope, budget and schedule, and ensure quality from field to final deliverables. The ideal candidate has a Geomatics degree or diploma with at least three years of progressive project management experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Trimble Business Center, and strong communication and

Qualifications

• Degree or technical diploma in Geomatics with at least 3 years of progressive experience in a survey project management role.
• Experience with AutoCAD, survey computation software and Trimble Business Center.
• Experience with Civil 3D is an asset.
• Experience with UAV (Drone) or Terrestrial Laser Scanners is an asset.
• Knowledge of survey calculations, geodetic coordinate systems and map projections.
• Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with internal and external Project Managers and clients.
• Managing survey project types including infrastructure, topographic, engineering and construction.
• Establish project scope, budget and schedule, and client expectations.
• Preparation of proposals, technical reports and documents.
• Leading survey crews and communicating scope and scheduling information.
