Job summary

Kibbi is seeking an experienced welder for a permanent on-site role in Surrey, BC. The position requires interpreting welding specifications, operating various welding and cutting equipment, and assessing material weldability.

You will work with pre-set machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and perform brazing or soldering as needed. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of welding experience and can maintain and repair welding equipment.

Qualifications

• No degree required; a relevant trade background is acceptable.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of welding experience preferred.

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Determine weldability of materials.
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
