Job summary

Kibbi in Abbotsford is seeking a skilled welder to join our on-site shop team. You will interpret welding specs, operate various welding equipment, assess weld quality, and support metal fabrication processes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience, a secondary school diploma, and strong manual dexterity. This role requires working on site in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal.
• Determine weldability of materials.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
