Job summary

Les équipements Pierre-Paul Beaulieu inc. in Rimouski, Quebec, seeks a skilled welder to interpret welding process specifications, read blueprints, and operate manual to semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts.

This permanent, full-time position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and strong hand-eye coordination in a hot and noisy work environment. Shifts are mornings and days, 40 hours per week, with English or French work language.

Qualifications

• No formal degree required.
• 2–3 years of welding experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret welding process specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
