Job summary

The Burger’s Priest Waterloo is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations, coach staff, and manage customer experience. You will open/close the restaurant, handle cash, orders, and inventory while ensuring exceptional guest service.

This role requires 2–3 years of team leadership, a passion for food, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Food Handler certification is preferred or willing to certify. Competitive wages with tips and growth opportunities are offered.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Train and coach the team below you to provide “ABSOLUTE” service
• Set clear expectations and follow up with your team on a regular basis
• Take direction and feedback from the Senior Management team
• Open and close the restaurant independently (key holder)
• Reconcile cash deposits
• Place orders and perform inventory counts
• Address customer concerns ensuring that each guest leaves satisfied
• Able to attract, interview and hire employees and build a strong team
• Understand food costing
• Can accurately schedule employees while achieving labour targets
• Responsible for P&L results

What We Are Looking For From You

• Minimum two - three years’ experience leading a team
• Friendly and enthusiastic about everything you do
• Passionate about food and providing only the best guest experiences
• Food Handler Certified or willing to certify
• Available for mixed shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Works well in a team setting but can complete tasks independently as needed
• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• Well organized with the ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot environment
