Job description

HMS Careers Inc. is recruiting an experienced General Manager to lead an upscale/luxury lifestyle hotel in Toronto.

This position requires direct General Manager experience within an upscale or luxury LIFESTYLE hotel environment.

Applicants whose General Manager experience is primarily select-service, limited-service or traditional branded hotel operations without relevant lifestyle hotel experience will not be considered.

We are looking for a General Manager who understands the lifestyle segment and has successfully led a property where the guest experience, design, culture, food and beverage, local connection and overall personality of the hotel are integral to the brand.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Previous General Manager experience in an upscale or luxury lifestyle hotel
• Demonstrated lifestyle hotel leadership experience
• Strong full-service hotel operations background
• Strong Food & Beverage leadership experience
• Proven P&L, budgeting, forecasting and revenue management experience
• Strong owner relations and stakeholder management
• Proven success building and developing high-performing leadership teams
• Experience delivering strong guest satisfaction, financial performance and brand standards

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

• Major international luxury or lifestyle hotel brand experience
