THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsibilities

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Leading the restaurant team in successful day-to-day operations by example and being a role model of the standards and behaviors consistent with Chipotle’s values and culture.
  2. Properly training and developing Crew, Hourly Managers, and Apprentices through quality orientations, development discussions, performance evaluations, and recognition so they are prepared for additional career opportunities.
  3. Coaching and counseling employees on a timely basis.
  4. Making decisions on promotions and terminations of employees, and taking appropriate action.
  5. Identifying talent, interviewing, and hiring new Crew members.
  6. Demonstrating a management style that reflects Chipotle's values and culture.
  7. Fostering an environment of teamwork.
  8. Successfully communicating company changes and focus to the team.
  9. Ensuring employees are paid properly and receive appropriate benefits.
  10. Writing schedules that meet the needs of the business to deliver a great customer experience while maintaining financial responsibility.
  11. Building sales and managing the restaurant budget.
  12. Compiling, preparing, and maintaining P&L statements, budgets, and cost controls related to food, beverage, and labor goals.
  13. Implementing and practicing proper payroll procedures.
  14. Performing required administrative duties on time, including processing paperwork.
  15. Ensuring safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to, and that employees are trained in appropriate responses to unsafe situations.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  1. Be able to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel.
  2. Speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees.
  3. Possess exceptional customer service skills.
  4. Have the ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
  5. Adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Have previous restaurant management experience.
  7. Have experience as a Chipotle Apprentice.
  8. Have applied experience handling OSHA, EEOC, and health department matters.
  9. Possess an A.A. or B.A./B.S. in a related field.
  10. Have knowledge of and the ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
