Job summary

Interfor is hiring a General Labourer to perform production-related tasks, stack and classify wood, and operate various workstations from a control console. You will verify wood quality and maintain safety standards while rotating through different tasks.

Requirements include a SSD and at least 1 year of day labourer experience, plus willingness to train on different workstations. Interfor offers group insurance and a pension plan with employer contributions.

Job description

When you join our team in as a General Labourer you will perform various production-related tasks.

What You’ll Do

• Stack and classify pieces of wood and operate different workstations from a control console on a rotational basis depending on production needs and the workstation.
• Verify the quality of wood in transit and ensure compliance with Interfor’s quality standards.
• Clean your workstation.
• Train less experienced staff as needed.
• Perform any other related duties as requested by your immediate supervisor.

What You Offer

• Have at least one (1) year of experience as a day labourer.
• Must be willing to take training on the different workstations.
• Thoroughness, initiative, sense of responsibility, and independence.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

• Good execution speed and a concern for health and safety.

Additional Information

The hourly wage for this position is $30.25 per hour.

Hours are subject to change.
