Job summary

Interfor Bathurst NB is seeking energetic electricians to join our team. You will perform daily checks, diagnose issues, repair and install equipment, and design control panels with emphasis on safety and code compliance. The role includes PLC programming and emergency response.

We offer a competitive hourly wage from CAD 33.51 to 37.87, 7 on‑7 off shifts, pension with employer contributions, and a comprehensive benefits package. Sawmill experience is an asset and bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification preferred; Block 3/4 apprentices considered with relevant experience.
• Sawmill experience is an asset.
• Familiarity with Omron PLCs and health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily electrical checks and diagnostics on equipment.
• Repair, install and test equipment including transformers, motors and control systems.
• Design control panels and install power distribution.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety requirements.
• Respond to emergencies during breakdowns.
• PLC programming (API) and related tasks.

What You’ll Do

• Perform daily checks (continuity, current, voltage and resistance) and diagnostics on equipment.
• Repair, install and test the equipment. (Transformers, regulators, motors, generators, electrical control system).
• Design control panels and install circuit power distribution.
• Interpret the requirements of the electrical code and ensure compliance.
• Responding to emergencies during breakdown.
• PLC programming (A.P.I.).
• Other related tasks.

What You Offer

• Preferably Red Seal certified; however, Block 3 and Block 4 apprentices will be considered based on relevant experience
• Sawmill experience will be considered an asset
• Know the Omron PLCs would be an asset.
• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
• Bilinguism would be an asset
• Demonstrate collaborative spirit and initiative.
• Analytical, conscientious and flexible.
• Results-oriented, in compliance with health and safety standards.
