Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore North Vancouver Island is seeking a General Laborer to support restoration projects by assisting technicians and project managers with site prep and debris removal.

This physically active role offers hands-on training, exposure to a range of restoration tasks, and opportunities for advancement within the company’s growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or general labour is an asset but not required.
• Must perform physically demanding work and lift heavy materials.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition and remove damaged building materials.
• Clean and prepare job sites.
• Assist with equipment setup, operation, and cleanup.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and WorkSafeBC requirements.
• Support technicians and project managers as required.
• Deliver professional customer service while working in clients' homes and businesses.

This is a physically active position where no two days are the same. You'll gain practical experience while working alongside experienced professionals on a wide variety of restoration projects.
