Job summary

ServiceMaster of the Fraser Valley is seeking a hands-on restoration technician to join our Abbotsford team. You will perform water extraction, assist with demolition of non-restorable materials, and set up drying equipment following established procedures.

Ideal candidates have a clean criminal record, a valid Class 5 license, and physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment. On-call duties may be required to respond to emergencies 24/7.

Qualifications

• Criminal record cleared.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Experience driving a panel van and cube truck is preferred.
• Able to lift 30–40 lbs safely.
• Able to lift 75–100 lbs for dehumidifiers and equipment.
• Knowlege of basic building materials and construction.
• Familiarity with power and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Extract water using truck mount and portable pumps.
• Assist with demolition of non-restorable building material.
• Set up drying equipment per procedures.
• Monitor drying process and adjust equipment as needed.
• Work on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

What You Will Do

• Assist with demolition of non-restorable building material
• Assist with setting up drying equipment as per established procedures
• Monitor drying process and adjust equipment as required
• Work within an On-Call rotation for after-hours emergencies

What You Have

• Ability to lift industrial fans 30-40 lbs
• Ability to load/unload wheeled industrial dehumidifiers 75-100 lbs

• Experience in custodial work, pressure washing, carpet cleaning (considered an asset)
