Job summary

McCain Foods Canada is seeking a General Operator to join the Grand Falls Plant on a 6-month temporary contract, supporting safe and efficient plant operations while maintaining product quality and compliance standards. The General Operator will contribute to equipment operation, material handling, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

This role follows a rotating shift schedule of 4 days on (2 day shifts and 2 night shifts) followed by 4 days off, with

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of yourself and your co-workers.
• Perform material handling tasks, including lifting and moving 19 kg boxes and bags.
• Follow changeover procedures and meet production requirements.
• Support sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain equipment for optimal performance.
• Adhere to GMPs and CCPs.
• Contribute to SQCDPE targets and KPI achievement.
• Follow JHAs and participate in STEP safety programs.
• Identify and help resolve production issues in a fast-paced team environment.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and required e-learning courses.

About The Role.

McCain Foods Canada is seeking a General Operator to join the team at the Grand Falls Plant on a 6-month temporary contract. This role is essential in supporting safe and efficient plant operations while maintaining product quality and compliance standards. The General Operator will contribute to equipment operation, material handling, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment. What You’ll Be Doing.

• Ensure the safety of yourself and your co-workers at all times
• Perform material handling tasks, including lifting and moving 19 kg boxes and bags
• Follow changeover procedures and meet production requirements
• Support sanitation and housekeeping duties as required

• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs)

What You’ll Need To Be Successful.

You will be part of the Grand Falls Plant production team, working closely with supervisors and fellow operators to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. The team environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on continuous improvement and shared success.

Compensation Package:

Starting at $25.13 CAD hourly + bonus eligibility + hourly pay differential for applicable shifts
