Job summary

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is hiring Construction Labourers to support heavy civil crews on a variety of projects such as site prep, grading, excavation, underground utilities and roadwork. You’ll work with experienced teams, perform demanding manual labour, and join a safety-focused culture that values reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites (preferred).
• Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and be reliable and punctual.
• Team player who can work well with others and follow safety rules.
• Able to perform physically demanding labour in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tools and equipment daily.
• Carry out a large variety of strenuous manual labour tasks.
• Ensure equipment is cared for and used correctly.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipeline & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. Our team has made some great progress this season, and there is much more work to be done! We're looking for hardworking Construction Labourers to join several of our crews.

As part of our team, you'll work on a variety of heavy civil projects, supporting experienced crews with tasks such as site prep, grading, excavation, underground utilities, roadwork and more. Every day brings something different, and safety is always top priority. Requirements

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to job sites preferred. We have limited opportunities that do not require personal transportation.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to complete physically demanding labour work in all weather conditions.
• Experience operating heavy equipment considered an asset but not required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of tools and equipment.
• Complete a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
• Ensure company equipment is operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
• Daily involvement in safety conscious activities and tailgate meetings.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by the Foreman.
• Communicate effectively with the Foreman and other team members.
• Other various construction related activities as instructed.
