Job summary

D&G Landscaping is seeking a hardworking General Labourer to join our construction team. This hands-on role supports general construction projects, working outdoors and alongside site crews to keep projects safe, efficient, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will perform manual labour, lift materials, operate basic tools, and help with site cleanup and preparation in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, landscaping, or hardscape is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Physically capable of demanding manual labour with frequent lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patio, walkway, wall installations and other landscape features.
• Excavation, grading, digging, shoveling.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials.
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools as required.
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete and other materials.

Job description

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable General Labourer to join our construction team. This is a hands-on position supporting general construction projects. The successful candidate will work alongside our site crews to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This role is physically demanding and requires someone who is comfortable working outdoors, performing manual labour, lifting materials, and being actively involved in day-to-day construction site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, curbs, steps, and other landscape features
• Perform excavation, grading, digging, shoveling, raking, and general site preparation
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction and landscaping materials
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools as required
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete and other construction materials when required
• Assist with site cleanup, demolition, and material removal
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and PPE
• Perform other general construction and labour duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous construction, landscaping, or hardscape experience is an asset
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physically capable of performing demanding manual labour, including frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, and walking
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (not bus accessible)
