Job summary

SPX is hiring for an Assembly Line General Labour position in Smiths Falls, Ontario. You will work on the assembly line producing components per drawings, perform repetitive tasks, and maintain a safe work environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina to stand for extended periods. Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred, and prior manufacturing experience is a plus. Forklift operation may be required.

Assembly Line General Labour positions are responsible for working on the assembly line and producing our product based on specifications and drawings. The general laborer will perform repetitive tasks throughout a variety of stations to ensure the completion of the product from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a Safe work environment.
• Perform other labouring and elemental activities.
• Use of manual chop saw, various pneumatic tools, and hand tools to prepare and assemble the finished product.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous work experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Work along side your team to lead by example.
• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow basic directions.
