Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations in a healthcare setting in Surrey, BC. You will assist with cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing, working to maintain high standards of cleanliness and resident comfort.

You must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate and be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with good English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.
• Experience in healthcare environment or long-term care setting preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English, written and verbal, and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties, maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, setup/cleanup, serving meals, delivering trays, dishwashing.
• Adhere to health & safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to supervisor.

Job description

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
