ESS Canada in Canada is seeking a General Helper/Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, wash dishes, assist with cleaning, receive deliveries and support basic food service tasks. The role emphasizes safety, food handling, and teamwork.

Shifts run Friday to Tuesday 11:00am-9:30pm (Wednesday & Thursday off); benefits begin after 3 months and compensation is aligned with industry standards. The role may involve light lifting and adherence to drug/alcohol testing policies.

Formación

• 1+ year experience with food preparation in a commercial kitchen.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage workload.
• Ability to work independently and in team setting as required.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or fast food is considered an asset.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Minor heavy lifting may be involved (up to 40 lb.).

The General Helper/Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and dining areas. This position supports the kitchen team by washing dishes, assisting with cleaning duties, receiving deliveries, and helping with basic food service tasks as required.
