Sodexo is seeking a General Help for remote site dining in Terrace, BC. Rotation is 28 days in/14 days out, wage $21.75 per hour. You will support meal prep, dining areas, and daily operations to keep remote sites safe and comfortable.

Responsibilities include serving guests, maintaining dining spaces, and adhering to safety and HACCP policies; training and safety meetings are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mess Hall Attendant in a larger construction camp or institutional setting.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Good attendance and disciplinary record.
• May require split shifts—days and nights.
• High School Diploma is an asset but not required; food safety certificate is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain dining room area and keep shelves and floors clean.
• Set and clean dining tables, refill beverages and condiments.
• Prepare coffee and beverages; assist with steam tables as needed.
• Serve guests at main buffet lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position: General Help

Point of Hire Location: Terrace, BC

What Youll Do

This isn't your average job. You'll be part of a team that keeps remote sites running smoothly. Whether you're preparing meals, maintaining facilities, or supporting daily operations, your work makes a real impact. You'll help create a safe, comfortable, and energizing environment for workers living far from home.

How Youll Make an Impact:

• Cleans and maintains dining room area including shelves and floors.
• Cleans and sets dining room tables and fills beverage, salt, sugar, and other condimentcontainers.
• Cleans and maintains supplies for steam and salad tables, such as dishes and utensils.
• Prepares coffee and cold beverages and may be required to work on steam tables from time to time.
• Serving guests on the main buffet lines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

What youll bring:

• Must have experience as a Mess Hall Attendant in a larger construction camp or institutional setting.
• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
• Must have good attendance record.
• Must have good disciplinary record.
• May be required to work shifts, including split shifts- Days & Nights
• High School Diploma an asset but not required.
• Must have food safety certificate.
• Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanor.
