Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a General Help for remote sites in Terrace, BC. You will be part of a team keeping remote sites running smoothly, from meal prep to facility support, earning $21.75 per hour with a 28 days in/14 days out rotation.

You will help create a safe, comfortable, and energized living environment for workers living far from home, while upholding safety and food-handling standards. This role requires flexibility for day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Mess Hall Attendant experience in large construction camp or institutional setting.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Good attendance and disciplined work record.
• Shift availability including days and nights.
• Food safety certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean dining areas, tables, and surfaces.
• Assist in serving guests at buffet lines and beverage stations.
• Support daily operations to ensure a safe, comfortable remote-site environment.
• Attend training and safety meetings as designated.
• Follow Sodexo HACCP and safety policies at all times.

Position: General Help

Point of Hire Location: Terrace, BC

Rotation: 28 days in/14 days out

Wage: $21.75 per hour

What Youll Do

This isn't your average job. You'll be part of a team that keeps remote sites running smoothly. Whether you're preparing meals, maintaining facilities, or supporting daily operations, your work makes a real impact. You'll help create a safe, comfortable, and energizing environment for workers living far from home.

How Youll Make an Impact:

• Cleans and maintains dining room area including shelves and floors.
• Cleans and sets dining room tables and fills beverage, salt, sugar, and other condimentcontainers.
• Cleans and maintains supplies for steam and salad tables, such as dishes and utensils.
• Prepares coffee and cold beverages and may be required to work on steam tables from time to time.
• Serving guests on the main buffet lines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

What youll bring:

• Must have experience as a Mess Hall Attendant in a larger construction camp or institutional setting.
• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
• Must have good attendance record.
• Must have good disciplinary record.
• May be required to work shifts, including split shifts- Days & Nights
• High School Diploma an asset but not required.
• Must have food safety certificate.
• Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanor.
