Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a 3rd Cook for the Terrace, BC site. Join a team supporting remote locations, preparing meals, and maintaining facilities to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for workers living away from home.

You will work in a cafeteria-style kitchen with a focus on quality food service, collaboration with cooks and facilities staff, and adherence to safety standards. Rotation is 28 days on /14 off, with a wage of 24.04 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a similar, high-volume role.
• Red Seal is an asset.
• Experience working in a team environment.

• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Position: 3rd Cook

Point of Hire Location: Terrace, BC

Rotation: 28 days in/14 days out

Wage: $24.04 per hour

What You'll Do

This isn’t your average job. You’ll be part of a team that keeps remote sites running smoothly. How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Supporting the Chef to deliver on defined day to day activities for our client contract regarding all Food Service Delivery in a cafeteria style kitchen.
• You will use your skills to assist in creating an excellent food service offering for the clients and guests of this site
• General food production, cooking, serving as well as other duties assigned
• Follow all the different Sodexo Programs: Food Safety, Health and Safety, policies and procedures, as well as marketing

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

• Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role (high volume establishment preferred)
• Red Seal is an asset
• Experience working as part of a team
• Experience cooking with breakfast items
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
• Ensure health and safety procedures are being followed
