Job summary

Sodexo in Terrace, BC is seeking a 3rd Cook to join a remote-site kitchen team, working a 28 days in/14 days out rotation. The role pays $24.04 per hour and is anchored in a cafeteria-style dining environment that supports workers far from home.

You will assist the Chef with daily food service, contribute to a high-volume operation, ensure safety and quality, and help create a comfortable, energetic workplace. Previous breakfast cooking experience and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar high-volume role.
• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Experience cooking breakfast items.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Supporting the Chef to deliver on defined day to day activities for our client contract regarding all Food Service Delivery in a cafeteria style kitchen.
• You will use your skills to assist in creating an excellent food service offering for the clients and guests of this site
• General food production, cooking, serving as well as other duties assigned
• Follow all the different Sodexo Programs: Food Safety, Health and Safety, policies and procedures, as well as marketing

• Red Seal is an asset
• Experience working as part of a team
