Job summary

Paladin Security in Calgary is hiring a General Duty Security Guard for a Full Time / On Call role. You’ll work a 4-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour day and night shifts and report to client sites within one hour of notification.

On-call pay is $10.00/hour when scheduled but not deployed; deployed pay is $17.00/hour. The position requires Alberta Security Licence, reliable transport, and strong communication and customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security coverage at multiple client sites in Calgary.

Position Details

Location: Calgary, AB Position Type: Full Time / On Call Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM On Call Rate: $10.00/hour when scheduled and not deployed Deployed Rate: $17.00/hour when deployed to a client site

Security Professionals in this role must remain available and reachable by phone throughout their assigned on call shifts. When operational coverage is required, you will be deployed to a client site in Calgary and must be able to report within one hour of notification.

A Day in the Life

• Provide professional security coverage at various client sites throughout Calgary.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and emergencies.
• Conduct patrols and access control as required.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow site-specific post orders and client requirements.
• Communicate operational concerns and incidents to Operations promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Security Licence.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites throughout Calgary.
• Reliable mobile phone and ability to remain reachable during on call shifts.
• Ability to report to a deployed site within one hour of notification.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in changing or stressful situations.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts on a 4-on/4-off rotation.
