Job summary

Shared Health in Winnipeg is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the multidisciplinary imaging team at Health Sciences Centre. You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the Nuclear Medicine Manager’s direction, delivering high-quality imaging services.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program, registered with CAMRT, and prepared to complete CT Imaging Course 1 within a year, with current BCLS certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Successful completion of CAMRT’s Course 1 of the CT Imaging course or to attain within 1 year from the date of hire.
• Registered and in good standing with CAMRT as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Certified with ISCD or to attain within 1 year from the date of hire.
• Current BCLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures as part of the multidisciplinary imaging team to ensure high-quality Diagnostic Imaging services.
• Operate imaging equipment and manage imaging workflow to support timely patient care.
• Collaborate with the Nuclear Medicine Manager and team to maintain safety, quality, and patient-centered care.

Position Overview

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary imaging team, the General Duty – Nuclear Medicine Technologist under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Manager, performs the operational activities pertaining to the Nuclear Medicine imaging services to ensure delivery of a high-quality Diagnostic Imaging service.

Experience

• Related experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Graduate of a recognized accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Successful completion of CAMRT’s Course 1 of the CT Imaging course or to attain within 1 year from the date of hire.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Registered and in good standing with and certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
• Certified with the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) or to attain within 1 year from the date of hire.
• Current BCLS certificate.
