Job Description
- Hybrid position: perform duties from the Downtown Toronto (Financial District) office location, at least 3 days a week.
- Handle and process all aspects of accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, inter-company transactions, and government filings.
- Perform monthly closing and all related journal entries using Quickbooks.
- Process payments and generate semi monthly cash reports.
- Ensure accounting processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision

The Successful Applicant
- +5 years bookkeeping experience, previous experience preparing financial statements, cash management, budgets, audit working papers.
- Must have considerable knowledge with basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions.
- The ability to effectively interact with internal & external stakeholders.
- Experience with MS Office products, including Intermediate skills in Excel.
- Quickbooks experience an asset, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Post-Secondary Education (with a diploma in accounting or similar) an asset, but not required.
