Job summary

IFG - International Financial Group is seeking a General Accountant on a 6-month contract in a hybrid role, Mississauga, Canada. You will support month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting with the accounting team.

You will work with ERP systems and Excel, assist auditors, and contribute to year-end activities, ensuring accuracy and timely closing while maintaining robust documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a General Accountant or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience assisting with or supporting the closing of books.
• Decent to strong Excel skills.
• Experience working with an ERP/accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience supporting auditors is an asset.
