Carmichael is looking for a skilled Gas technician with their Gas A license to join our Dartmouth branch and be part of our 100 years of success! This is a service technician position working on a variety of combustion, heating and gas systems on a commercial / industrial scale.

We offer Competitive rates and benefits. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and skill set. Signing bonus available for successful candidates.

Responsibilities :

• Boilers and Gas System diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Test combustion equipment and controls for issues
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using electrical and mechanical testing equipment
• Replace defective parts and reassemble repaired systems
• Observe and test system operation using gauges and test instruments and make necessary adjustments to ensure safe and reliable system operations
• Estimate, order and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition
• Keep accurate records of repairs and replacements made and cause of malfunction

Requirements :

• Gas Tech A license is required
• Oil Burner license is an asset
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• HVAC qualifications considered an asset
• Client focus; dependable; reliable; flexible
