Job summary

FortisBC is hiring for a Gas AMI project Contract/Project Manager to lead procurement contracts and oversee contractor deployment across British Columbia. You will collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to meet milestones while upholding safety and compliance standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least four years’ experience in contract/project management. Travel to sites is required, PMP is desirable, and a flexible work option is available in BC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline with four years of contract or project management experience.
• Valid Class Canadian Driver's License.
• PMP designation is preferred.
• Experience in major projects and project delivery models is an asset.
• Proficiency in contract and procurement work methods.
• Strong project/program management and cost control skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on efficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and Work Order Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract management implementations with procurement focus.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
• Manage relationships with meter deployment contractors and ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure timely delivery of contractual milestones and manage changes.
• Coordinate with technology, customer service, operations and finance to resolve issues.
• Monitor contractor performance and plans.
• Implement contractor safety and quality assurance programs.
