Job summary

Canadoor Garage Doors is seeking an Apprentice Technician in Ontario to learn on-site while assisting with garage door service and installations.

You will support senior technicians, prepare trucks, and travel to sites while gaining hands-on experience and customer-facing exposure. A safety‑mensitive, physically active role with room for advancement toward a technician position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools (or willingness to learn).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working on ladders.
• Comfortable speaking with customers and open to learning the sales side of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential and commercial garage door service and installations.
• Support Technicians on job sites while learning hands-on skills.
• Prepare trucks with tools, materials, and parts required for daily work.
• Travel to job sites and pick up parts from suppliers as needed.
• Complete work orders and track time accurately using Canadoor’s systems.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional vehicles and job sites.
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
• Communicate with team members and the office to ensure smooth operations.

Compensation

Starting at $20 per hour during the Apprentice training period, with clear opportunities for advancement as skills, performance, and responsibilities grow.

Top‑performing Technicians who successfully develop both technical and customer service/sales skills have the opportunity to earn six figures through performance and career progression.
