Job summary

Source Office Furniture & Systems Ltd. in Burnaby, BC, seeks a Furniture Project Coordinator to support sales with large installation projects. You will prepare quotes, document completed work, verify sites are ready, and assist the Install team to resolve quality issues.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, a customer-focused mindset, and data accuracy. A vehicle and car allowance are provided; this is a full-time role.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education; some post-secondary education an asset.
  • At least one year in performing project coordination functions.
  • Experience with office furniture or similar installations preferred.
  • Assembly/installation experience preferred.
  • Ability to create tracking tools in Excel; navigate Syspro.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in overseeing the installation of office furniture and ensure quality of work.
  • Review floor plans, drawings, project specifications for accuracy.
  • Generate quotes for specialized installs and reconfigurations; translate CAD drawings to determine work requirements.
  • Advise and support sales staff on projects when required.
  • Take photographs of completed projects and catalogue images.
  • Work with installers to ensure projects are completed on time; perform actual installations when required.
  • Visit customer site prior to delivery to ensure space is ready.
  • Supply deficiency lists on completed projects and submit to manufacturers; follow up as necessary.
  • Assist with service-related tasks.
  • Contribute to overall customer satisfaction and interact professionally with customers.

About The Role

The Furniture Project Coordinator works closely with customers, sales staff, the Install team, and vendors to help ensure each installation results in a positive customer experience. This role primarily supports Sales with medium to large office furniture installation projects, including preparing quotes for specialized installations and reconfigurations, visually documenting completed projects, confirming installation sites are ready before delivery, and working with the Install team to resolve quality concerns. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, a customer-focused mindset, a proactive approach, accuracy when working with data and documentation, and the mechanical and spatial skills required to interpret space planning designs, use tools and products, and support installation processes.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
  • Secondary education; some post-secondary education an asset.
  • At least one year in performing project coordination functions.
  • Experience with office furniture (or similar products like windows, doors or construction installation projects) is preferred
  • Assembly and installation experience is preferred
  • Ability to create tracking tools such as excel; ability to navigate computer systems such as Syspro
  • A service orientation and a genuine desire to satisfy customer’s needs and expectations.
  • Time management skills and a keen eye for details.
  • Use of own vehicle will be required (car allowance is provided).
Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
