Job summary

SGGG Fund Services Inc. in Toronto is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our Fund Accounting team.

This entry-level position reports to the Manager, Fund Accounting, and supports the accurate and timely calculation of NAVPU for client portfolios while delivering high-quality service. You will collaborate across geographic locations, own deliverables, and continuously strive to exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field is required.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Clear and fluent communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage competing deadlines.
• Team player with attention to detail and accuracy.
• CPA/IFIC/CSC or similar designation in progress is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client portfolio accounting records (trades, expenses, accruals).
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly NAVPU for each client accurately and on time.
• Prepare draft financial statements, audit packages and tax returns for clients.
• Develop professional relationships with clients and SGGG-FSI staff.
• Seek continuous process improvements in assigned functions.
• Keep management informed of issues with potential client impact.

About The Role

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Fund Accounting, this entry-level role supports o perational excellence by ensuring the accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Value per Unit (NAVPU) for assigned client portfolios. The role plays a key part in delivering high-quality service to clients while contributing to continuous process improvement. As part of a client-focused Fund Accounting team, you will collaborate across geographic locations, take ownership of deliverables, and consistently strive to exceed client expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain the accounting records of Client portfolios (trades, expenses, accruals, etc.)
• Produce a daily, weekly, or monthly net asset values for each client in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepare draft financial statements, audit information packages and tax returns for clients
• Develop a professional and productive relationship with Clients and SGGG-FSI staff
• Work to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned functions
• Keep management informed of any and all issues that could have a Client impact
