Reporting to the Manager, Fund Accounting, this entry-level role supports operational excellence by ensuring accurate and timely NAV per unit for client portfolios while delivering high-quality service. You will maintain client portfolios, prepare drafts of financial statements and tax packages, and collaborate across offices to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop client relationships and collaborate across staff and offices.
  • Drive process improvements in assigned functions and keep management informed.

About The Role

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Fund Accounting, this entry-level role supports o perational excellence by ensuring the accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Value per Unit (NAVPU) for assigned client portfolios. The role plays a key part in delivering high-quality service to clients while contributing to continuous process improvement. As part of a client-focused Fund Accounting team, you will collaborate across geographic locations, take ownership of deliverables, and consistently strive to exceed client expectations.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain the accounting records of Client portfolios (trades, expenses, accruals, etc.)
  • Produce a daily, weekly, or monthly net asset values for each client in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare draft financial statements, audit information packages and tax returns for clients
  • Develop a professional and productive relationship with Clients and SGGG-FSI staff
  • Work to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned functions
  • Keep management informed of any and all issues that could have a Client impact

  • Possess or in process of obtaining a professional designation such as CPA, CFA etc.
  • Previous Co-op/Intern experience
  • Fund accounting experience, in a daily or monthly valuation environment
