Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Functional Lead to own the Inventory Visibility and Tank Monitoring capability from Calgary, operating in a hybrid model (3 days onsite Tue-Thu). You will bridge operations, business stakeholders, and technical teams, driving discovery, requirements, solution design, and adoption.

The role requires a hands-on delivery mindset, experience with IoT/telemetry, and strong executive communication. Expect travel roughly 6–20 weeks annually; passport required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product delivery/ownership or related leadership roles.
• Proven experience turning discovery into implemented solutions with measurable value.
• Strong business analysis: requirements gathering, workshops and process design.
• Ability to translate operations problems into system requirements and KPIs.
• Experience working with senior leaders and executives.
• Hands-on delivery mindset with problem-solving focus.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Visio for mapping and design.
• Experience with IoT, telemetry, or inventory management domains.
• Exposure to Power BI/Tableau and enterprise reporting tools.
• Experience creating repeatable delivery playbooks and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own Inventory Visibility and Tank Monitoring capability end-to-end.
• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design.
• Drive adoption and ensure measurable business value.
• Lead a cross-functional pod and coordinate with ops, business and tech teams.

Insight Global is seeking a Functional Lead to support one of the world\'s leading agriculture companies on a contract until June 2028. Based in Calgary (3 days/week onsite, Tu-Thu), this individual will own the Inventory Visibility and Tank Monitoring capability, acting as the bridge between operations, business stakeholders, and technical teams. This is a highly hands-on role responsible for leading discovery, gathering requirements, designing solutions, driving adoption, and ensuring measurable business value. The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional pod and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal structure. Travel of approximately 6-20 weeks annually is required. Candidates must possess a valid passport.

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Product Delivery, Product Ownership, Functional Leadership, Business Analysis, or Digital Transformation
• Proven experience owning business solutions from discovery through implementation and value realization
• Strong Business Analysis background with expertise in requirements gathering, workshops, process design, business rules, and functional specifications
• Ability to translate operational/business problems into system requirements, KPIs, decision logic, and technology solutions
• Experience working directly with operational leaders, Directors, and VPs
• Hands-on delivery mindset; comfortable getting into requirements, solution design, and problem-solving
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience using Visio for process mapping and solution design
• Comfortable working in ambiguity with limited process and governance
• Consulting background (Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, EY, KPMG, IBM Consulting, etc.)
• Experience as a Senior Product Manager, Product Owner, Delivery Lead, Business Architect, or Consulting Manager
• Supply chain, logistics, inventory visibility, or operations transformation experience
• Tank monitoring, IoT, asset tracking, telemetry, or inventory management experience
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or enterprise reporting solutions
• Experience creating playbooks, frameworks, and repeatable delivery standards
