We are seeking a Full-time (Temp) Security Supervisor for our client based in Brantford.

Position: Site Security Supervisor

Status: FT Temp or Perm (Possibility of 1 Year Temp, with potential extension to Perm)

Reports To: District Manager

Location: Brantford, ON

Pay Rate: $20.50 an hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 0700-1500 hrs

Summary: Maintains security and safety of people and property in the assigned facility. Observes and reports activities and incidents. Duties include supervising the use of wand and metal detectors, service enhancement, and training.

Essential Functions:

  • The listed functions describe the business purpose of this job. Duties may vary and be documented separately. Not all functions may be required; additional duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Handling front desk operations and monitoring/reviewing CCTV cameras are major responsibilities.
  • Schedule and train Security Guards, ensuring all posts are covered weekly and staff are trained as per site requirements.
  • Interact effectively across diverse cultures.
  • Monitor traffic flow at checkpoints and recommend staffing adjustments.
  • Follow proper escalation procedures.
  • Conduct foot patrols, checking guard posts, doors, windows, and maintenance areas.
  • Collect and report shift activity logs to the District Manager.
  • Ensure all posts are properly staffed.
  • Provide spot remediation training for Security Guards when needed.
  • Relieve Security Guards for breaks/lunches.
  • Respond to escalations, including medical incidents.
  • Escalate issues or violations to the District Manager.
  • Manage access control, visitor screening, and security protocol adherence.
  • Document and report guards not meeting SOP standards.
  • Follow safety practices and company policies related to job safety; report unsafe conditions.
  • Perform all duties ethically and professionally, requesting clarification when necessary.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

  • Security Supervisor experience (minimum 2.5 years).
  • At least 1 year of experience in front desk and customer service roles.
  • Experience scheduling guards is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Reliable transportation (public or private).
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
