Job description

As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety and security of students, staff, and stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, college policies, monitoring CCTV systems, operating security control room equipment, controlling site access, reporting hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.

At Securiguard, we support your career development. We are currently seeking a confident leader to join us as a Night Shift Supervisor on a rotational schedule from 2000-0800.

The candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Over 1 year of security experience; supervisory experience is an asset
• Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED
• Valid Class G Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Comfortable with two-way radio communication
• Approaches situations with listening skills and empathy
• Capable of standing and walking for up to 12 hours
• Problem-solving skills, good judgment, and discretion
• Use of force training is an asset

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct work assignments of security guards during shifts
• Assist with staff relief and substitutions when the Site Supervisor is unavailable
• Assist in training new and existing staff
• Evaluate staff performance alongside the Site Supervisor
• Keep the Site Supervisor informed of security-related concerns

Additional Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols and enforce security policies
• Manage daily security operations, including audits of CCTV, alarm systems, door access, lighting, and AED equipment
• Provide emergency first aid, CPR, and AED as needed
• Maintain a professional and positive image for the College
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Review and approve incident reports daily via the incident management system
• Perform other security duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Manager
