Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Mobile Officer for the Winnipeg area. This full-time position involves patrolling client sites, monitoring access, and ensuring safety with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Candidates should hold a valid provincial Security Guard License and a valid driver’s license, with at least 1 year of security experience preferred. The role requires observation, reporting, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must have valid provincial Security Guard License.
• Must have valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• 1 or more years of security experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
