Qualifications

• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter I and II certified from an accredited program.
• OFAI FPAT Stages 2, 3 and swim test certificates.
• Ontario driver’s license with good driving record (≤6 demerits).
• Class D license with Z endorsement by hire date.
• Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certificate.
• Medical clearance by a physician.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, rescue, and medical emergencies safely and efficiently.
• Perform firefighting, hazardous materials response, and technical rescue operations.
• Collaborate with crew and other agencies, uphold professionalism.
• Complete reports, record keeping, and administrative duties.
• Support fire prevention and public education activities.
• Participate in training and maintain equipment and facilities.
