Job summary

City of Yorkton is seeking a custodial team member for work across multiple City-operated facilities, including event setup and teardown at the Gallagher Centre. The role requires physical fitness, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and adherence to safety policies. RCMP security clearance and a valid Class 5 driver’s license are required or pursued as prerequisites.

CPR/First Aid is an asset. 40 hours per week with shift work, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalency.
• 3 months experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possess the ability to understand and comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Must possess and maintain RCMP security clearance.
• Class 5 Driver's License.
• Possession of a current CPR and First Aid certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Daily custodial duties located in various City operated facilities.
• Set up/tear down for all events held within the Gallagher Centre.
• Ability to use cleaning machines and various cleaning chemicals and aids.
• Ensure building has been secured at end of evening shift.
• Represent and deliver service excellence in keeping with the brand of the City of Yorkton.
• Completes other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
