Job summary

City of Yorkton is seeking casual custodians to perform daily cleaning in City facilities and set up/tear down events at the Gallagher Centre. You will operate various cleaning machines and handle a range of cleaning chemicals to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Shifts are mainly evenings and weekends with casual hours as needed. Candidates should be physically capable, able to work independently, and comply with safety policies; RCMP clearance and a valid Class 5 license are assets.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalency required.
• 3 months experience in a related role preferred.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and comply with safety policies and procedures.
• RCMP security clearance is required.
• Class 5 Driver's License needed; CPR/First Aid certificate is an asset.

• Set up/tear down for all events held within the Gallagher Centre
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning machines, as well as variety of different cleaning chemical and aids
• Ensure building has been secured at end of evening shift
• Represent and deliver service excellence in keeping with the brand of the City of Yorkton
• Completes other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalency
• 3 months experience
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with minimum supervision
• Possess the ability to understand and comply with safety policies and procedures
• Must possess and maintain RCMP security clearance
• Class 5 Drivers License
• Possession of a current CPR and First Aid certificate is an asset
