Job summary

GardaWorld in Fredericton, NB, is hiring an Enhanced Security Officer to patrol municipal properties and engage with the community. This full-time role offers rotating 4 on/4 off shifts, opportunities for career growth, and employer-funded training through GardaWorld Academy.

The ideal candidate is vigilant, observant, able to work in all weather, and committed to public safety.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Background in criminology, sociology, police foundations, corrections, military, or security experience.
• First aid certification required, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in all types of weather.
• Ability to learn and adapt as procedures evolve.
• Proficient with technology.
• Provide a valid Criminal Record Check, a Vulnerable Sector Check, a clean Driver’s Abstract, and a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to identify any suspicious activity.
• Perform productive patrols and site visits throughout the community and public areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Conduct wellness checks.
• Collaborate with municipal services, emergency services, and law enforcement.

As a specialized Officer, physical ability is essential, as you will be moving throughout your entire shift, patrolling municipal properties, engaging with the community, and visiting businesses.
