Job summary

ONroute is seeking janitors/cleaners in Ingleside, Ontario for both part-time and full-time roles. You will maintain cleaning standards and disinfect plaza spaces to ensure a safe, inclusive environment for travelers along the 401/400 corridors.

Reliable transportation is required as our plazas are on major highways; experience in food service or retail helps, but the key is teamwork, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Flexibility for part-time and full-time shifts.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and outside the building.
• Disinfect all surface areas including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting.
• Cleans restrooms, restocking dispensers, sanitizing fixtures, cleaning floors.
• Picking up trash and emptying bins inside and outside.
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Responding to employee or guest requests.
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

The job:

• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and outside the building
• Cleaning and disinfecting all surface areas including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows
• Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals
• Picking up any trash and emptying the trash bins inside and outside
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
• Responding to employee or guest requests
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests
• Performs additional duties as needed

Reliable transportation is required as our plazas are located on the 401/ 400 highways, and public transportation is not available.
