Freson Market Ltd. in Fort Saskatchewan, AB is hiring a full-time butcher to cut, package and display meat products, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. You will work during peak hours including evenings and weekends, handle beef carcasses, and demonstrate knowledge of cuts.

Experience preferred; strong communication and a positive attitude are essential. Must be able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and show willingness to learn and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different cuts and preparation of meat.
• Experience as a butcher is preferred.
• Beef carcass breakdown experience is an asset.
• Positive, can-do personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable working during peak grocery deli hours including evenings, days, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Cut and package meat products.
• Cut beef carcasses, sides, and quarters.
• Cut, trim, grind, weigh, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area.
• Stock and maintain shelves and displays.
• Properly handle and store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare special orders as per customer requests.
• Interact with customers to explain various meat cuts and recipes.
• Handle customer service inquiries and provide a positive customer experience.
