Job summary

Freson Bros. in Hinton, AB is hiring a Full-Time Butcher at $18.00 per hour. You will cut and package meat, break down beef carcasses, stock displays, and ensure food safety in a fast-paced team environment.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of meat cuts, experience as a butcher, and strong communication to assist customers and handle special orders. Lift up to 50 lbs and work peak deli hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different cuts and preparation of meat (beef, pork, poultry, etc.).
• Experience as a butcher is preferred.
• Experience breaking down beef carcasses is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Cut and package meat products
• Cut beef carcasses, sides, and quarters
• Cut, trim, grind, weigh, and prepare standard cuts of meat
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Stock and maintain shelves and displays
• Properly handle and store food by adhering to food safety policies
• Prepare special orders as per customer's request
• Interact with customers to explain various meat cuts and recipes
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience
